Please join us Friday, December 13th for a holiday party to celebrate the hard work you’ve all put in throughout the year!!! We’re making it a pot luck so bring your favorite treat, dish or drink to share with your fellow CrossFitters Class schedule will not change but all are welcome to hang out and have some snacks and fun when the 6pm finishes up! Let’s close this year out with a bang with those that have been there so many times over these past 12 months pushing us to be our best, go harder, lift heavier and push through those last few moments of pain!!!

CFV Labor Day Schedule

The Labor Day Holiday may score you a day off from work but it won’t get you a day off from workin’ your machine!!!!! We will hold one class on Labor Day at 10am so you can get your fitness in and then celebrate with the famfam! See you all bright and early

Join CFV for our first annual ‘Memorial Day Murph’
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

A fundraiser benefiting the March of Dimes 4/20/2013 12pm
We, at CrossFit Vertex, are honored to announce a fund raiser to benefit a cause that touches all of our hearts, a cause that has been there time and time again for a loving local family through many hard times along with thousands of other families who’ve needed their support, The March of Dimes.
We’re teaming up with the Wendo Warriors in their mission to raise as many funds as possible to support the foundation that has given them endless support in their 4 pregnancies. We ‘March’ in memory of their daughter Aria, and in celebration of their 3 graduates from NICU, Cole, Athena and Alexa. Please visit the link below to share in their journey;
We’re inviting all CrossFitters, family and friends to come ‘March’ on their behalf like CrossFitters do….by training like warriors would! April 20th we’ll come together as one community to aid in the support of this amazing foundation, train hard to push forth the urgency and criticality of the March of Dimes funding and medical care that is so important to so many families that need their support!!
Not only will we provide a nasty workout, snacks and friendly faces J…there will also be a few giveaways for a free month of CrossFit training and T-shirts. Dig deep guys, we’re looking to make a large impact as we always do, go big or go home!!!!

Schedule change effective Monday, November 5th
We’ve added a 12:30pm class to the schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to serve those that are looking to commit to a serious fitness regimen but are unable to attend evening classes. This is the perfect schedule for lunch hour WODs, those working swing shift and stay at home moms! We remain dedicated to providing fitness education and training, we just need you to commit and put in the work!

World Class Fitness In 100 Words
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, paralettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
